People love stories
One of the reasons I created Autohaven is to have people share their real and personal experiences owning cars, and for people who are interested in them to be able to find these, read, engage and benefit from them.
You can argue that people are already sharing these personal experiences elsewhere, and they are, but the stories are all very fragmented, unstructured and all over the place. You do not even know where to search to find them, you sort of have to stumble on them. That's a missed opportunity on several fronts.
And so today, I am taking on a new tangent for Autohaven - sourcing all these interesting car stories from all over the world and putting them together for you.
Enter the newsletter
My mode of delivery for these stories would be through a newsletter. That's right, a newsletter that will first land in your email inbox, and then on Autohaven, so that anyone who missed their emails can still find the newsletters, even many days after they were first sent.
To start, the cadence will be weekly. And then if there is more demand for these, I will ramp up the frequency.
How to sign up to the newsletter
Everyone who is signed up to Autohaven will receive the first three issues of the newsletter(or so), and afterwards, they will be required to join a new newsletter list to continue receiving the emails. So to join the newsletter, head over to Autohaven and sign up! I will let you know when the new list is out for registration.
How to have your car story featured
If you own any car, you can be featured, from anywhere in the world! To get featured, all you have to do is to answer a few questions on this google form! The stories will be featured on a first come first served basis. And I will let you know via email when your story is going to be featured!
What's in it for you? Well, there's a lot, but perhaps the biggest of them all is reciprocity. Do you remember how it was when you bought your first car? I bet you were as clueless on many things as most of us were.
Your car story is going to help thousands of car owners all over the world learn a thing or two about buying your type of car. And also, when you will be buying your next car, someone else's personal car story will help you make the choice! It's a win win.
Story engagements
Unlike other newsletter platforms, this one will be inbuilt, meaning people will be able to engage, comment, share and like your car story! All this will happen on our car feed
To have your story featured, you don't even have to be signed up on Autohaven, but it is a plus because then we will be able to attribute your car story to your Autohaven profile page, like mine here . Each story will have a dedicated home in each owner's profile page, for each car!
